Lana Hensel: thinking outside the studio!

"Painting is a performance." - Lana Hensel

Hermit, recluse, antisocial... these are a few attributes that come to mind when thinking of artists holed up in their studios for days and weeks on end. Rising artist Lana Hensel shows us that these stereotypes don't apply to all creative souls.

Lana thrives on the energy that comes from a live painting session in a public space. For her, it is a fun way to show her work and to meet fellow artists and art enthusiasts. For passersby, it's a rare opportunity to experience the long journey an artist undertakes to complete a work of art.
