Easter weekend has become a festive occasion and is celebrated as a public holiday: a time to travel, gather with family and friends, take a short vacation, or embark on a long quest for the Truth…a search for the Holy Grail.

What are your plans for the holiday weekend?
Will you be adopting a traditional approach by seeking out some Easter water?

For family entertainment you can turn to the Montreal Botanical Garden where the Tree House has been transformed into a sugar shack in the heart of the city. On the menu are indoor “maple sugar time” activities, sampling and maple products for sale.

“Butterflies go free” continues in the Main Exhibition Greenhouse all weekend, including Monday. Admission includes activities (with the possible exception of sampling). Adults: $14; 5 to 7 years: $7; 2 to 4 years: $2. City of Montreal: 514-872-1400

For a weekend getaway, Mont Tremblant is the place to be: The Laurentian ski resort’s pedestrian village will be hopping on Easter Sunday: Toufou the mascot will be there and there will be an egg hunt, makeup artists and entertainers.
Saturday and Sunday. The egg hunt starts at 10 am on Sunday. 1-866-356-2233

Whatever you decide to do, be sure you do it with friends and family, and don’t forget to say how much you all mean to each other!

As for me…I will be taking a bite out of the Big Apple!

Have a great long weekend everyone!
