Fashion show at the MFA
Monday November 26th, 2012 - The atmosphere at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is chaotic and anticipatory: caterers are putting the final touches on their hors d'oeuvres; drinks are poured; fashion models are getting into the latest creations of some of Quebec's finest designers. Guests--dressed to the nines-- first trickle and then pour into the Museum's large glass room. This evening, merchants and designers from the Quartier du Musée area will present their products and creations to an exclusive audience.
After an opening address, the lights dim, the music starts and the fashion show begins. Murmers of approval can be heard as designs by Michel Desjardins, Shan, Nadya Toto, Isabelle Elie, Jean-François Morissette et Maison de couture Arthur slink down the runway. Applause: Bravo! Bravo!
The night is far from over: the time has come for Montreal's fashion elite to get to know the Quartier's merchants, wine glass in hand. The Georges Laoun table is flooded with smiling guests, dying to try on frames hand-picked for the event by Mylène Laoun. Photographer Irina Banyik is on site to capture the moment. The mood is festive: oh, how we love sharing the joy of eyewear!

75 carefully selected frames await guests... Roughly 15 members of the Georges Laoun team are on location to offer advice and to have a good time. Now's the moment for a coveted consultation with our buyer, Mylène Laoun, but above all, the goal for the night is to let loose and be tempted by our more daring styles. Here is our team and our friends:
