MY 5 FAVOURITE SUMMER SUNGLASS PICKS AT GEORGES LAOUN OPTICIEN

While it's hard to narrow it down to just 5, here's a look at my favorite sunglass frames of the moment.
VAVA EYEWEAR, CL0000
VAVA frames are modern, timeless, and unisex. When putting them on, it feels like taking a step into the future. The company's vision is immaculately reflected by the design of their eyewear: VAVA envisions a future without age, gender, or race. Handmade in Italy, this versatile, futuristic-looking model is appropriate for any occasion, despite its striking originality.
KUBORAUM, Mask A1
This frame is one of my favorites from the shop located in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts building. As Kuboraum so aptly declares in its slogan, this sunglass frame is dreamed up in Berlin and handmade in Italy, with a unique artisanal finish. The combination of colors, textures, and materials on these sunglasses gives birth to a work of art that is worn on the face and highlights the strong personality of the wearer. Would you dare to wear these sunglasses every day, no matter what the occasion? My answer: you should!
Anna-Karin Karlsson, Rose et la roue 2.0
This exclusive sunglass model from Anna-Karin Karlsson is unlike any other frame you'll see in Montreal. It embodies luxury and invokes a fashion-forward design, all while being quite wearable. The pearlescent frame is adorned with a green-eyed tiger covered in crystals. The metallic accents are plated in 24K gold, pushing the boundaries of luxury eyewear. For me, this frame is synonymous with high fashion for the face: it is an exclusive artistic creation, made by craftspeople, with the finest materials, in extremely limited quantities. In short, the "Rose et la roue 2.0" model is breathtaking.
VANNI, 6710 (Limited Edition)
When I put this frame on my face and close my eyes, I am instantly teleported to the south of France or the Amalfi coast in Italy. These sunglasses are part of an exclusive VANNI collection, born from a collaboration with the European Institute of Design.  Its exaggerated cat-eye shape, combined with original cutouts and classic color creates an extravagant, timeless, and all-purpose frame.
P.S: The attention to detail even continues alongside temples of the frame, which follow a curve so well thought out by the designers. These details are what make this model a "to die for" piece.
Vinylize, Nita
The Vinylize collection is made up of special frames made from recycled vinyl records. The choice of material allows the company to recover more than 3 tons of vinyl records, destined for the landfill, per year. What could be better than eyewear with an impeccable design made from sustainable materials?
The Nita sunglass model is my favorite Vinylize of the moment: its oval shape, slightly cat-eye, is simple and elegant. Despite its simplicity, its details make it an original frame, particularly thanks to its patterned interior and its front where the lines of the vinyl record used to design it are perfectly visible. As Vinylize says, these sunglasses will allow you to "wear the music".
